If there is no tracking map, just a blue page with 'No Tracking Initiated', then the tropical cyclone was not tracked on this site due to the following reasons :

i) the cyclone never became a tropical storm or hurricane (we only track named storms here), or

ii) the storm was never considered to be a threat to land by the NHC, or

iii) no-one was here to do the tracking e.g. holidays, work commitments etc.

STATUS: Watching Tropical Storm Marco, over the Mexican coast
7th October, 2008 11:00 News

Tropical Storm Marco is tracking towards the west at 7 mph with maximum sustained winds of 65 mph. The NHC expect Marco to continue into the Mexico and revert to a tropical depression in another 12 hours. This will be the last report for Marco.

STATUS: Watching Marco, approaching Mexico
6th October, 2008 17:00 News Update

Tropical Depression Thirteen becomes Tropical Storm Marco as predicted by the NHC. Marco is tracking towards the west-northwest at 7 mph with maximum sustained winds of 65 mph. They expect Marco to cross the Mexican coast between Tuxapan and Punta El Lagorta by 1pm Tuesday.

STATUS: Watching Tropical Depression Marco, approaching Mexico
6th October, 2008 11:00 News

Tropical Depression Thirteen has formed off the east coast of Mexico. The NHC state that Thirteen will move to the west and become Tropical Storm Marco by the time of the next report in 6 hours time. Marco is tracking towards the west-northwest at 10 mph with maximum sustained winds of 35 mph. They expect Marco to cross the Mexican coast between Tuxapan and Punta El Lagorta by 7am Tuesday.


STATUS: No tracking at present

Hurricane/Tropical Storm Marco has not yet made an appearence. When it does it will be tracked above this record


I shall continue to update the tracking maps until Hurricane Marco dies.
I can be found in the central Florida hurricane center forum until the end of November.
